The initiative taken by The Missouri Botanical Garden, The Chicago Botanic Garden and all the participants of the two meetings entitled “Linking Ecology and Horticulture to Prevent Plant Invasions” is making a difference. The major national societies and professional associations for botanic gardens and arboreta, the nursery industry, garden clubs and landscape architecture have endorsed the appropriate “Codes of Conduct” and are now taking steps to encourage their members to adopt and implement them.
